gener8tor Announces Selected Companies to the Cincinnati 2022 Fall Accelerator
Six startup companies selected to receive $100K investment and participate in 12-week accelerator program
CINCINNATI, Ohio - Global venture firm and startup accelerator, gener8tor, announced the six startups participating in the 2022 gener8tor Cincinnati Accelerator program. Each company receives $100,000 of investment from gener8tor paired with the concierge coaching, network connections, mentorship and investor introductions needed to refine and scale their businesses.
The Cincinnati Accelerator is a 12-week program that invests in five to six startups per annual cohort. Small cohort sizes are intentionally retained to allow for the most tailored engagement. Each company receives individualized coaching and access to gener8tor’s national network of mentors, investors, corporate partners and customers. Goals of the 12-week program center around refining product-market fit, traction growth and solidifying future funding with the help of the gener8tor team as well as local and regional mentors and investors.
gener8tor recruited startups regionally and nationally in an effort to support companies with local roots while also attracting startups to grow their businesses in Ohio. Over 1,000 companies applied for the competitive program with selected startups completing an intensive interview and due diligence process. Startups engage in the program through a hybrid environment, splitting time and program participation between Cincinnati and their home markets.
This year’s fall 2022 companies are Knead (Chicago), Perceive now (Cincinnati), Reeske (Boston), Renalis (Cleveland), Soundspace (Indianapolis) and Tour (Ann Arbor).
“gener8tor has had an impactful presence here for a handful of years through gBETA Cincinnati and the previously operated Brandery Accelerator, and it’s exciting to bolster the Cincinnati entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Rowan Hume, managing director of gener8tor Cincinnati. “We’ve now expanded the scope of our focus to include all industries, which aligns to the strength of the entirety of Cincy’s growing startup community. It’s energizing to work with six awesome founding teams - each unique in their diversity and industry.”
The Cincinnati Accelerator 2022 kicked off on September 8 at Union Hall and will run formally through December 2. The culmination of the program will take place in Cincinnati at the celebratory startup showcase on December 6 at the Woodward Theater, providing startup founders the opportunity to pitch their companies to investors, community partners and the public. All are invited to attend the showcase for a night of beverages, hors d'oeuvres, networking and pitches. Guests can register here.
The gener8tor Cincinnati team will follow up the 12-week investment program with gBETA Cincinnati in spring 2023. gBETA is gener8tor’s equity-free and investment-free seven-week program that focuses exclusively on Cincinnati-area startups. For more information and application details, visit the gBETA website or contact Rowan Hume.
