Waukesha's Scanalytics Inc., which creates technology to turn physical spaces into smart environments, is seeking a large space in the Milwaukee or Madison area to build a lab for testing and developing its floor sensing software and materials, according to Scanalytics CEO Joe Scanlin.

“We’re the hallways of the educational internet,” said Fiveable co-founder and CEO Amanda DoAmaral. “What do students do in the hallways of high school? They hang out with friends, they grab books, they figure out where they need to be next, they catch up — and a lot of what happens in Fiveable is that.”

On Tuesday, the startup announced the closing of its $75 million Series C funding round, which was led by D1 Capital Partners. This new funding comes a few months after the company’s $25 million Series B, meaning Provi has raised $100 million in funding this year alone.
