gener8tor Madison Invests $600K into Six New Startups
Innovative companies selected for 12-week accelerator program
MADISON, Wis. - Six new fast-growing startup companies from across the country have each been selected to receive a $100,000 investment and participate in the gener8tor Madison startup accelerator program. The capital invested in this cohort will come from a new gener8tor fund that will invest primarily in Wisconsin-headquartered companies, or those with the potential to relocate to and thrive in the state.
The selected startups are: Madison-based addiction recovery pharmaceutical platform Plumb Pharmaceuticals; Madison-based data convergence and security software Technova Industries; Madison-based family productivity app Cubby; Madison-based veterinary records analysis tool Transfur; Dallas-based machine vision manufacturing software TechComb; and Toronto-based dairy cow microbiome platform Healthy Cow.
gener8tor Madison invests $100,000 into each of six high-growth startups per cohort across all industries and business models. Accepted startups take part in the intensive 12-week, cohort-based accelerator program, which includes one-on-one coaching, mentorship-driven programming, $1M+ in deals and perks, and 100+ connections to the gener8tor network of mentors and investors.
gener8tor Madison received hundreds of applications from across the world for the 2024 program. The six selected companies were chosen based on the demonstrated domain expertise of their teams, their growth potential and their investor readiness.
“gener8tor is pleased to have invested in such a diverse array of industries, geographies and founder backgrounds for this cohort,” said Molly Dill, Managing Director of gener8tor Madison. “We are proud to say we have made great progress getting the founders connected into the strong local startup, mentor and investor ecosystem, and have already convinced one company to relocate its headquarters to the great city of Madison.”
The gener8tor Madison program is made possible by a partnership with Michael Best.
Following the gener8tor Madison program, the startup founders will pitch their companies to investors, community partners and the public at a Showcase event during Madison’s Forward Fest this August.
The next gener8tor Wisconsin program will take place in fall of 2024 in Milwaukee. Startup founders interested in learning more about gener8tor’s programming or applying to the program can visit the gener8tor Milwaukee website, or reach out to Managing Director Molly Dill at molly@gener8tor.com. Those interested in mentoring these companies or getting involved in other ways are also encouraged to connect.
