gener8tor and Prosper To Host the OnRamp Healthcare Conference in Birmingham, Alabama
The event will welcome hundreds of startups, corporations and investors focused on innovation and technology in the healthcare industry
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - gener8tor and Prosper will host the OnRamp Healthcare Conference on Aug. 24-25, 2022 in Birmingham at the Protective Stadium and Legacy Arena. The conference will bring together corporations, investors, startups and members of the medical community, highlighting innovations disrupting traditional healthcare, the future of medicine, healthcare leaders making such innovations possible, and new technologies and business models that aim to reinvent the industry.
The OnRamp Healthcare Conference serves as a fast-paced networking event that provides a knowledge-sharing platform for emerging healthcare and healthtech startup companies. A diverse mix of companies will be in attendance to include the 2021 Prosper HealthTech Accelerator cohort startups – Peak Mind, Oben Health, Health OpX, Kaya, TruDiary – as well as startup companies from across the country including DocuMentor, EnsoData, Trusty.care, BotDoc, Delve Health, Pear Suite, Lensbox, AOA Dx, Mitivate, Inc. and CaringWire. These startups strive to foster dependable alternatives to healthcare and healthcare technologies, offer more accessibility to lower healthcare costs, and deliver increased efficiencies in healthcare processes.
One of the main components of the conference is the Startup Track, which will sync startups with healthcare investors and corporations. Through one-on-one meetings, startup founders will have the opportunity to pitch their companies to financial investors such as J.P. Morgan, 450 Ventures, Altitude Ventures, American Family Insurance, Black Tech Capital, Delve, Husch Blackwell, LvIUp Ventures, Kimberly-Clark, Redhawk, Springtime Ventures, UAB Medicine, Unity Point and WisMed.
Conference attendees will hear from experts in both the startup and healthcare industries including a welcome address from Alabama Secretary of Commerce Greg Canfield and two engaging keynote speaker sessions. Wednesday evening will feature speaker Shegun Otulana, founder and CEO of Harmony Venture Labs, who will share his expertise through his speech titled, “Reimagining Startup Success and the Ideal Founder.” Roy Johnson, Pulitzer Prize-finalist journalist and statewide columnist for Alabama Media Group, will serve as the moderator during Otulana’s speech. On Thursday, keynote speaker, Camille Chang Gilmore, will deliver her keynote, covering the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in healthcare, titled "No One Should Be Missed.” Gilmore is a leading health and medical device industry executive and 2022 BSX Catalyst Award winner for one of the most prestigious recognitions that honors DE&I leadership and excellence.
