gBETA Oklahoma City Selects Five New Startups
Accelerator program welcomes seventh cohort
Oklahoma City, Okla. – Five new Oklahoma companies have been selected to participate in local startup accelerator gBETA Oklahoma City. They are: Bounceless, Fanwave, Harding Digital, SwingLogic, and Whirr.
The program is offered by global venture firm and startup accelerator gener8tor, in partnership with Full Sail Capital, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, Inasmuch Foundation, Love’s Travel Stops, Oklahoma State University, Square Deal Capital, and University of Oklahoma. gBETA Oklahoma City kicked off its seventh cohort Oct. 17. The gBETA accelerator focuses on early-stage companies working in the Oklahoma City metro area.
gBETA Oklahoma City is a free, seven-week, no-equity accelerator program providing startup founders with intensive concierge coaching and access to its national network of mentors, customers, corporate partners and investors. The programs are designed to set a path for startups to participate in equity-based accelerator programs and investment opportunities.
gener8tor recruited startups across multiple industries for the gBETA program in an effort to support homegrown companies in Oklahoma City. The companies were selected based on their growth potential, investor readiness, and innovation in their industry spaces.
Since inception, gBETA Oklahoma City has successfully supported 30 companies, which have collectively raised more than $1.3 million in funding.
“gBETA's hands-on approach has transformed our innovation ecosystem in Oklahoma, and we’re proud to see Oklahoma State University teams benefiting from this program each year,” said John Nickel, Assistant Director of Cowboy Enterprises at OSU. “Their mentorship, workshops, and investor connections are invaluable resources, and we look forward to seeing the impact of this latest cohort on our state’s entrepreneurial landscape.”
Together, gener8tor and its Oklahoma partners aim to bring economic diversity and job growth to Oklahoma City.
“I’m excited to announce the acceptance of these five startups for our fall cohort,” said Kristen Gibbs, gBETA Oklahoma City Program Director. “The economic impact of the previous gBETA programs in Oklahoma City is undeniable. This is a great group of traction-filled companies, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this ever-growing community.”
At the completion of the gBETA program, founders will pitch their companies to investors, community partners and the public at a showcase event in December 2024.
Startup companies and founders interested in learning more about gBETA’s programming and resources or applying to a future program are encouraged to visit the gener8tor gBETA website or reach out to Program Director Kristen Gibbs at kristen.gibbs@gener8tor.com.
