City of Greeley Partners with gener8tor to Launch gBETA Greeley Startup Accelerator
GREELEY, Colo. - In partnership with global venture firm and startup accelerator gener8tor, the City of Greeley announced the launch of its new gBETA Greeley accelerator focused on early stage startups headquartered in Greeley or willing to consider relocating to Greeley.
“This is a rare opportunity for entrepreneurial locals to bring forth their best ideas,” said John Hall, director of economic development for the city. “This program will provide the right kind of support to develop economic prosperity right here in Greeley.”
The newly launched gBETA Greeley accelerator is powered by gener8tor’s gBETA program – a free, seven-week, zero-equity accelerator that provides startup founders with concierge coaching and access to gener8tor’s network of mentors, customers and investors across the United States. Tribe Development Company helped to source the opportunity after seeing the need for a program for entrepreneurs in Greeley and established a relationship with the founders of gener8tor. Together, gener8tor and the City of Greeley aim to bring economic diversity and job growth to the Northern Colorado region. The program is designed to set a path for startups that graduate via the accelerator program to be considered for investment capital, gain potential local partnerships, and be prepared to fundraise.
The gBETA Greeley accelerator will recruit startups based in or interested in relocating to Greeley. Preference will be given to tech-enabled companies working on agricultural innovations, but all types of startups are encouraged to apply.
“We’re thrilled to partner with The City of Greeley to bring this program to life and continue to support the technology enabled industries in Greeley,” said Vanessa Huerta, Vice President of gBETA at gener8tor. “We’re looking forward to this partnership and the incredible economic impact that The City of Greeley and gener8tor will bring to the Northern Colorado region.”
The gBETA Greeley Program Manager will lead recruitment of startups and guide founders through the programming. gener8tor and The City of Greeley are currently hiring for this lead role. Interested candidates can learn more about the role and apply at gener8tor.com/gbeta/greeley.
Applications for gBETA Greeley are open now, and the program will kick off Oct. 17, 2024. Visit gener8tor.com/gbeta/greeley for more information.
